World Cup Victory 1983
Before year 1983 Indian ODI team was one of the wakest teams in world cricket and India lost badly in all world cups since 1975 due to teh same reason no one expected Indian team to win.
But against the all odds India won the world cup under the leadership of Kapil dev and Mohindr amarnat named man of the match for his all round performance.
One of teh highlights of 1983 world cup was kapil devs match saving 175 not out against Zimbabwe when India was strugling at 17/5
